Pumpkin Roundup #1: Drinks

It’s that time of year again!  Time for some pumpkin.  Everywhere you look, you are being inundated with tons of pumpkin recipes.  Well, I thought I’d round up a few good ones for you.

I like pumpkin.  I can’t say that I love it.  And I am very picky in how I consume it.   I can only eat it when it is baked into some type of bread, cupcake, etc.  No other way.  But I want to share some pumpkin drink recipes that you may enjoy.
Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

Who doesn’t love a smoothie?  This one is simple to make and quite healthy, too.  The recipe is non-dairy, and incorporates a nutritional shake.  A tasty, healthy way to have your pumpkin fix.  Find the recipe at My Vega.

Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate

I love hot chocolate!  I would even considering having my pumpkin this way.  This recipe from Fat Free Vegan Kitchen is also non-dairy, and you can use a sugar substitute if you like.  I prefer natural sugar as opposed to any sweeteners.  I think the cocoa powder with the pumpkin would be delicious.
Easy Pumpkin Spice Latte

For all  you coffee drinkers, here’s one for you.  I do not like coffee at all, so I’m definitely including this recipe for others.  This is a popular drink during the fall season, and there are numerous variations of this recipe.  I chose this one from Farm Girl Gourmet because it is simple to prepare.  The recipe calls for ‘strong’ coffee or espresso, so I’m sure this will provide a boost in the morning.  It calls for 4 tablespoons of pumpkin purée, but I’m sure you can add more or less, depending on your preference.
Pumpkin Pie Coffee Creamer

Maybe you already have your favorite coffee, and just want a little pumpkin flavor?  Then, this recipe for coffee creamer should do the trick.  The recipe calls for two ingredients.  That’s right, just two!  Find the recipe at The Grant Life.
