How About a Veggie Burger for July 4th?
Soon we will celebrate our country’s independence on July 4th. This day usually consists of families getting together and cooking and grilling. Just enjoying each other and enjoying good food. And a hamburger is a common food enjoyed for July 4th.
But have you thought of trying something different other than your usual beef hamburger? How about a veggie burger? I know, I know. Some people love the meaty taste of a beef burger and can’t imagine a vegetarian burger being flavorful. But I’ve come across a recipe that looks so delicious that I’ll probably be making it myself for the holiday.

These Chunky Portabella Veggie Burgers look as meaty and delicious as a regular beef hamburger. Yet, they are pratically meat free. The main ingredients consist of Portabella mushrooms, black beans and broccoli. The mushrooms will provide that meaty texture and flavor. The black beans give you protein and the broccoli is a plus. It also has steak seasoning for additional flavor. You can easily adjust this recipe to suit your dietary needs and taste. And the author provides some suggestions for substitutes.
I am looking forward to making these veggie burgers. They look so moist and delicious. I can’t wait to top mine with some avocado and salsa. Yum!
Would you consider a veggie burger for July 4th?
