Pumpkin Round #5 2018: Desserts
We have embarked on our last stop in this pumpkin roundup journey. It is now time to showcase one of my favorite things: desserts!! During the last roundup from a few years back, I featured pumpkin bread as the last roundup. This time, I wanted to provide more dessert options. So check out these awesome recipes to satisfy your sweet tooth.
I have included numerous recipes in this roundup. Although many are cakes, there are a couple of other great dessert options as well. And one even incorporates coconut!! Yum!
Sheet cake is a great dessert to prepare for a family gathering. You have traditional vanilla and chocolate. And now, you have pumpkin. The recipe, by The Novice Chef, is easy to make and has a cinnamon cream cheese icing.
Lil’ Luna offers up an intriguing pumpkin recipe. This dessert has a cake layer and pumpkin layer. Once baked, you’ll get a special surprise. The recipe is made easy by using a box caked mix.
I like to feature pumpkin bread, because it is a traditional pumpkin food. This recipe had me at coconut! Creations by Kara adds coconut pudding to traditional pumpkin bread for a moist, delicious bread. I would add even more coconut to mine.
Just one look at this cake gets me excited. Pumpkin and pralines together? Yes, I am for it! The icing contains sweetened condensed milk, and it gets soaked into the cake! What a yummy recipe from Loaves and Dishes.
If cake is not your thing, and you’re looking for something light and creamy, this may be the recipe for you. This layered dessert by Crunchy Creamy Sweet does not require baking. It has a graham cracker crust and two layers of tasty mousse.
Who doesn’t love a whoopie pie?! They are a tasty and fun baked treat. This recipe from Gather for Bread is fairly traditional. Yet it incorporates pumpkin and those spices that merry well with it. These treats are sure to be kid pleasers.
Well, I hope you enjoyed my 2018 pumpkin roundup. There are so many great recipes that you can add to your recipe books. So, go grab some pumpkin and get cooking!
