National Sugar Cookie Day
I don’t think anyone has ever loved cookies more than Cookie Monster from Sesame Street. Except maybe me! I enjoy a great cookie every now and then (more now than then, actually). One of my favorites is Snickerdoodles. I also love Chocolate Chip cookies. But I find it difficult to come across a fabulous Sugar cookie. I did find a Sugar cookie that I love at a restaurant (see the post). I have tried several Sugar cookie recipes in the past, both homemade and store bought refrigerated cookie dough. Most of the homemade recipes require that the cookie dough be chilled, which takes a lot of time. And the cookies…

Some people love the meaty taste of a beef burger and can’t imagine a vegetarian burger being flavorful. But I’ve come across a recipe that looks so delicious that I’ll probably be making it myself for the holiday. These Chunky Portabella Veggie Burgers look as meaty and…

Donuts are a classic breakfast treat. Something quick and fast, that you can eat without a knife and fork. These little sugar concoctions can be very addictive. I used to work next to a Shipley’s Donuts shop, and frequented the place at least three times per week. Here are a few recipes that you may want to try in the kitchen yourself in celebration. Homemade Glazed Donut This is a classic. Almost everyone enjoys…

My New Love For Chocolate Cake
I love cake! Did I say that I love cake? Yes, I did! I’ve never been a fan of chocolate cake, though. I will eat German Chocolate cake, mostly because of the coconut. But will usually pass when offered a slice of any other chocolate cake, especially Devil’s Food cake. Blah! But I am now in love with one particular chocolate cake. I shared a post about a wonderful Italian Cream Cake that I had. Well, the same baker, Travis Bligen, made this awesome chocolate cake. courtesy of Travis Bligen Travis sent me a slice as a sample some weeks ago. I remember how sad I was when it…
