National Cheesecake Day 2015
I’ve expressed before that I’m not a fan of cheesecake. People are always telling me to try this one, and try that one, and I will acquire a love for it. I challenged everyone last year to share a cheesecake recipe with me that would win me over. But nothing yet. National Sugar Cookie Day
I don’t think anyone has ever loved cookies more than Cookie Monster from Sesame Street. Except maybe me! I enjoy a great cookie every now and then (more now than then, actually). One of my favorites is Snickerdoodles. I also love Chocolate Chip cookies. But I find it difficult to come across a fabulous Sugar cookie. I did find a Sugar cookie that I love at a restaurant (see the post). I have tried several Sugar cookie recipes in the past, both homemade and store bought refrigerated cookie dough. Easy Mini Apple Pies
My brother eats oatmeal for breakfast quite often, and loves to add fruit to it. For a while now, he’s being adding Dole Fruit Crisp to his oatmeal. The Dole Fruit Crisp consists of fruit and crunchy granola. It comes in three flavors, but my brother prefers the Apple Cinnamon. The package recommends heating the fruit and then adding the granola on top. But my brother just adds them both into his hot oatmeal. I tried it once, and it was really good. O.M.G. Once again, my love for chocolate cake is growing. Really growing. Travis Bligen, wonderful baker, has created another delightful cake. Another great chocolate cake. As, I’ve expressed before, I’m not really a fan of chocolate cake. I love when my younger brother makes a chocolate cake, and I love the ones made by Travis. Number one reason: they are moist! For weeks, my older brother had been telling me that he had ordered something special for me. And I had better be grateful once I receive it.
